Shoe Therapy

As a mommy to 3 busy, little boys, there are definitely times when I just need a little "me" time.  I mean, don't we all?  Whether you are someone who works full-time and has no kids, works a job with kids or is a stay-at-home mom, isn't it true that sometimes that "me time" gets lost in the hustle and bustle of life?

Well, yesterday I was definitely having one of those days when I needed to just get out and decompress.  You would think with getting ready to have a family vacation at the beach - tomorrow, that I would be using some "free" time to pack and organize for our trip . . .but fortunately and unfortunately, that's not what I did.

Instead, I decided to get in the car and head to "window shop" for shoes.  I drove to Marshalls, Target and DSW where I got out, kid-free and looked and tried on shoes until my heart was content.  I tried on flats, heels, sandals in all different styles.  I spent about 2 hours shopping without any one saying the word, "mom".  And as wonderful of a word that it to me ... there are definitely times when silence is golden.

Now after 2 hours of "shopping" for absolutely adorable shoes, do think I came home with a pair or two?  Nope, I sure didn't.  But let me tell you, those two of browsing one of my loves, was definitely what the doctor ordered!
P.S. . . .If you have a Marshalls nearby, check it out!  The designer labels they have there right now are insanely wonderful!
